Balance Minder provides programs and courses that aim to give participants skills and resources to achieve physical, mental and social wellness.
Balance is something we are all craving. We have conversations on how we would like to balance our lives and we know we need to exercise, eat healthy enjoy life, but often we leave things until tomorrow. A "minder" is a person whose job it is to look after someone or something. We can easily relate the use of minder for a childcare minder or even a bodyguard employed to protect the celebrity or a criminal. Madonna's minder keeps the crowd at bay.
So why can't we use the word to make us think about protecting our balance?
The word 'balance' can refer to the Physical, Mental and Social aspects of our Iives. The World Health Organisation informs, "health is a state of complete physical mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." http://www.who.int/about/definition/en/print.html
Becoming our own Balance Minder enables us to start finding wellness ...an active process of becoming aware or making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life.
